What a thriller of a game our supporters witnessed last Sunday when Richmond NVL 2 Women traveled to Aschombe to face the contender for the playoff position!
Richmond team trained well during the week and worked diligently on a game plan so finding themselves 7-1 down was not quite expected.
Richmond Senior Women’s team competing in London league got their first victory on the home turf last Sunday against Flaming Six Comets. It was an exciting 5 sets battle that lasted almost 2 hours.
Just two months into training and third match to test their skills the team came out with great spirit and determination.
With some important players missing on England duty and due to illness, Richmond had just enough to compete against Dartford but not enough to avoid the first loss of the season going down 3-0 ( 25-22, 25-22, 25-22). Read More
After their great performance last week away in Bristol and a very hard week training, Richmond NVL Div2 team played their first home match at Kingston Arena last Sunday vs Sussex Dolphins. They entertained the home crowd with a 5-setter thriller and came away with a 3-2 victory (15-25, 25-16,25-21,19-25 and 15-8) to top the divisional table with two wins. Read More
Richmond storms to victory in their first bite of the Div 2 National league in Bristol. The team performed brilliantly and came away with a straight 3-0 win (25-15, 25-20, 26-24).
Some nervousness was evident at the beginning of the first set but after that the team implemented a well drilled game plan put in place by Head Coach Giorgio Scatigna “GSG” who said: “I am very proud of the team especially coming from 20-16 down in the third set to the well deserved victory”.
