Volleyball Centre of Excellence
The South London Volleyball League gets back underway again starting next Monday, 30th September and Tuesday 1st October taking the league to 39 teams. All matches played on Monday and Tuesday evenings are held at Richmond College from 7-10 pm and Saturday afternoons junior matches are held at Hampton Boys School from 2-5 pm.
It was a big disappointment for Richmond NVL Men’s team to lose (3-0) in their opening match on the National Volleyball Division 2 South campaign at Kingston College Arena on Saturday.While Richmond Women start the new National League Division 2 South campaign with a convincing 3-0 victory against Guildford VC. Richmond Volleyball held London’s 1st Junior Beach Volleyball Championships last Sunday at Barn Elms SC. It was a great success and saw 13 top pairings show off their growing talent and excellent beach skills. The pairs were competing for the top spot in 3 age categories (u14, u16 and u19 boys and girls). Read More
Top seeds David Rijvers & Luis Bello win the 3rd 2v2 South London beach volleyball series and are given their toughest test of the summer so far. Rijvers and Bello lost a match 2-1 to Pedro Cois & Anas Amer and then had to win all reminding matches 2-0 to win victory on sets difference. Read More
Anas Amer and Pedro Coias was celebrating success last Sunday winning the Series 3 Round 3 of the 2v2 South London Beach Volleyball Series held at Barn Elms Sports Centre (Wandsworth).
Next Monday, 26th August (Bank Holiday) will be the Series 3 Finals (players earn double points) and the South London Beach Series Champions will be crowned! As usual venue is Barn Elms SC – 09.30 am registration and 1st matches start at 10.00 am. Read More
