Volleyball Centre of Excellence
Richmond Volleyball is celebrating after being awarded £7,800 of National Lottery funding from Sport England to expand the club’s boys’ indoor development programme. The grant will allow Richmond to deliver two additional beginner sessions per week to aid the retention and increase membership among younger boys.
Richmond Volleyball hosted the annual André Montenegro Cup mixed 4s tournament and barbecue on Sunday 25th August, concluding a successful summer of Beach Volleyball at the beach courts in Teddington. The event was held in memory of André Montenegro, who was a great friend, coach and player at Richmond Volleyball and a great ambassador for the sport of volleyball. Read More
Richmond Volleyball Club have been awarded the prestigious Volleyball England Club of the Year award for the second time. The award was presented to club Chairman Vera Kenyon at the ceremony in the Volleyball England offices in Loughborough.
Our Men’s London Premier League team are the 2018/19 Champions. Last night they secured the title by beating Onyx 3-1 in a winners take all final battle. After 13 matches both sides had only been defeated once so this was a virtual cup final for the championship.
Richmond led the way at this weekend’s National Cup Finals in Kettering, taking home an unprecedented four titles and one silver medal. A fantastic achievement by all concerned.
