London Youth Games – a Weekend of Fantastic Results for RVB Junior Players

Congratulations to all RVB Junior players, coaches and parents who took part, cheered and supported the teams in the London Youth Games volleyball event last weekend and achieved some fantastic results.

Richmond Volleyball coaches have prepared for the Games six boys & girls teams for 3 London Boroughs – Kingston (5th year), Hounslow (4th year) and Richmond (1st year). Through May, a selection of 25 RVB national junior players from various age groups joined forces with players from colleges and schools to prepare for the battle against some formidable opposition in the qualifying rounds.

Summer Social a great Success

The 2014 Richmond Rugby Rocks Summer Social hit London last weekend providing a quality festival of sport and music experience to both players and spectators held at the Richmond Athletic Park Ground. There was a combination of 250 teams which included men’s and women’s rugby 7s, touch rugby, lacrosse, rugby 10s, touch and tag rugby, hockey, netball and for the 1st time volleyball before partying into the night to a selection of DJs.

2 Weeks to go – 2014 Summer Social (Volleyball 4-a-side and many other sports)

With less than two weeks until THE event of the summer, we are excited to tell you a bit more about what you can expect on the day.
•10am – First games KO
•11am – Bars open
•1pm – Irish Happy Hour! Look out for the London Irish RFC boys who will be behind the bar serving you drinks!
•2pm – First DJ on main stage!
•3pm – We will be showing the Premiership Final on the Big Screen
•3pm – All knockout stages begin
•8pm – Main Elite 7s and Netball Finals KO’s
•Midnight – Event close

Plus we have lots to keep you busy including the Free Fall, the Superstar, Zorb football, 5 outdoor bars, 10 DJ’s taking to the main stage, the Ping lounge, plus lots of caterers keeping you fuelled throughout the day, and lots more!

RVB Among Top 5 Junior Clubs in England

In 2013-2014 season 43 junior clubs (including 8 Regional Academies and 1 National Academy) participated in the Volleyball England’s National Junior competitions.

RVB Junior Centre of Excellence has prepared 6 boys and girls teams to compete in all age categories in VE National Junior Cup & National Grand Prix .

In order to analyse the performance of the squads at the National level and measure up the RVB Junior Club against other high performing clubs in England, RVB applied a ranking system that took into account results for all clubs from all National competitions (u15, u16, u18 Junior Cup and Grand Prix) in the last 12 months. RVB Beach Volleyball starts Fri 6th, Sat 7th and Sun 8th June at Barn Elms

Just to remind you all RVB 2014 beach volleyball programme will begin on weekend 6th/7th and 8th June 2014 held at Barn Elms Sport Centre.

The new 3 court beach volleyball venue at Teddington is currently under construction and will look awesome when complete. It is due to be launched early July so please bear with us.You can now enter our events via the links below.
