Richmond Docklands returned to Kingston Arena for the first time in almost two months to take on Super League champions IBB Polonia London.  After a run of four league wins in a row before Christmas, Richmond are still looking for their first Super League win of 2020.  It was always going to be a tough task against the current table toppers but several of Docklands’ squad have connections back to the visitors so have an added incentive to win against their old team.

Richmond Docklands reached the KO Cup semi finals for the second season in a row and like last year defeated Wessex 3-1 in the quarter final.  Meanwhile our NVL2 side returned to winning ways with a 3-1 win over Newmarket to retain their second place in the league whilst our NVL3 team won one and lost one in their first triangular of 2020.

For the second Saturday in a row Richmond Docklands won a hard fought five-set battle. This time they defeated old rivals Malory Eagles UEL, coming back from 1-0 and 2-1 down. It saw Richmond move up to fourth in the Super League table before the division splits in two after Christmas.

Richmond Docklands secured a place in the top half of the Super League with a five-set victory over Sheffield Hallam. Luis Bello’s side will now compete for the title in the second half of the season. Despite the defeat they will be joined by Sheffield.
